Missions Gathering 2025

Meet the Missions Making a Difference!

On Sunday, November 9th, join us to celebrate and connect with the local ministries and missions programs we host, support, and collaborate with. This is your chance to discover the incredible work God is doing through our church and learn how you can get involved!

Missions Gathering Sunday Schedule:

  • During Service (Announcements): All mission representatives will be recognized.

  • 10:00 AM Hour (No Small Group Classes): Instead of your regular class, representatives will rotate to present a brief overview (2–3 minutes) of their mission/ministry and explain how you can volunteer and get involved with them. Your Small Group will meet in a designated area.

  • After 10:00 AM Hour: Connect one-on-one with mission leaders! Each mission will have a table set up in the gym where you can learn more and find your fit for serving.

  • After Second Service: Stick around for a fellowship lunch of pizza and pasta! This is a great opportunity for further, one-on-one discussion with the mission representatives. Please RSVP for lunch at: https://werfcc.churchcenter.com/registrations/events/3231580

Let’s come together as a church family to celebrate God’s work and the people who make it happen!

'EQUIPPED' - Servant Leaders and Ministry Leader of the Local Church

This Sunday's lesson will focus on why the church needs godly leaders and servants who are willing to give of themselves for the good of others, rather than simply consuming what the church offers. We'll explore our personal call to be the church, not just to go to it, by living a life of service and leadership.

“Created For Community” - Everybody is Greater Than Somebody

Join us this week for "Everybody is Greater Than Somebody." We'll talk about the strength we find in Christian community, where our collective brokenness is more powerful than any one person's perfection. It's about finding a sense of belonging and fulfillment that only comes when we give more of ourselves to the community and to God.

“Created For Community” - You Can’t Spell Community Without Unity

This Sunday's sermon, "You Can't Spell Community Without Unity," explores the heart of true belonging. We'll discover that authentic community isn't about comfort, but about embracing our shared brokenness to find deep connection. Created For Community

This Sunday, we will discuss why we as humans were ‘Created For Community’.

Why do we exist? At the very core of creation and humanity, there's a fundamental need to belong and to form vulnerable relationships that build community. This mirrors God's own nature; before anything was created, the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit existed in perfect community, serving as the source from which all things were made and find their purpose. It stands to reason, then, that creation would bear the "DNA" of its Creator, meaning nothing was designed to exist in isolation. Just as it wasn't good for Adam to be alone, we too are wired for connection—a constant theme throughout the entire human story.

Read the following scriptures ahead - Genesis 1:26; 2:18; 3:7-8; Revelation 7:9; 2 Corinthians 13:11
